Haha, yeah, more freetime at work XD Boss is in Chicago today, and meh and the interns are totally not doing our work (whoopsie). Well, I'm printing a print job, so does that count? Not much else to do ^^;
Next con in line that needs a con report is AnimeCentral 2011~ This one is one of the few I do close to home, lol. So, onward to the report!

Well, overall I had a blast at ACen, as I do always. I don't generally get away much to actually do stuff, and though I had wanted to see Flow, it was at the same time as the One Piece photoshoot, so we ditched the concert for it, lol. I love how many of my friends I see at this con, and that it's so close to home. I do wish that they would straighten out their issues with AA, cause it's super frustrating. At least they got rid of that meanie running panels though, and the new guy was awesome <3 I actually like the staff running AA, too, since they are nice and polite, and quick to answer.
The rating of this con is 5/10. I'll be back next year, lol. Just hoping to get AA issues resolved. |

Hahaha, look at all the work I'm getting done at...work XD my boss is on call, so I have nothing to do until he's done. Hence why I'm writing these suckers. Next in line is AnimeBoston 2011, which, of course, is held in Boston~ It was in April, and was like a 16.5 hour drive, ugh. Anyways, onto the report!

Well, overall, I loved the guests the con got, and it was a fun con, though the venue itself left much to be offered. It was widespread, and there was like only one way in and out that was small and always congested. The costs were ridiculously high for everything (parking was freaking $100!!! for the weekend, uuugh), even moreso than Baltimore (which I thought was bad).
My final score for the con is 5/10. I probably won't be going back because of the cost, though if they get a super awesome music guest, I may have to try :D

Okay, time to take the next con report off my list! Finally into 2011, lol! I've had a lot of cons back-to-back, which hasn't been helping me at all, in regards to time. Next up is ShutoCon 2011, which was held in March~ A first year con, in Lansing, MI. Without further ado, here's my report!

For the final tally~ The convention itself was decently organized, and I had no major issues with the alley, registration, or anything in that manner. However, the con fell short on guests and events. As it was a first time convention though, I wasn't expecting much less. The venue was a bit tedious, but it was nice, and there was a lot of room for the convention to grow. I give the con a 5/10! I already have my AA table for next year <3

Wee, trying to catch up on some of these past con reports...man
have I gotten behind @_@ (and there are still a couple that I
haven't done from like over a year ago or more, too!
With that said, first up is BishieCon! It was a con me and Panda-chan decided to hit rather last minute, lol, down in St Louis, during December of last year. It was like our Christmas present to one another, lol. I got on the forums, got together people to share our room, and we were ready to go. Here is the con report~

So, with all of that...it was a nice change to have a con where I didn't know alot of people beforehand, and I didn't have to worry about anyone save for myself, lol. However, the con itself has a lot to be desired in regards to organization. I'm not sure how they handle their AA sign-ups initially, but they were fine with throwing me in last minute. I had no issues there. They were late getting to the alley/dealer's room to let us check-in, and assign our tables. There weren't that many events and while I didn't attend that many of them, Panda-chan did, and she said most of them were disappointing, and most of the ones I did go to were, as well. Though the con called itself an anime con, it did not have an anime con feel to it at all. It was focusing on yaoi as its theme, but even that wasn't pushed to the extent it should have been. The venue wasn't horrible, but it had some issues, especially for those as vendors. The hallways were terribly narrow, too, for events, and line-ups were maddening.
I had fun at the con, but not for the reasons I'm supposed to, lol. Overall I give this con a 4/10. Not saying I wouldn't go back, but I probably only would if another friend wanted to go, or they "invited" me back. Panda-chan doesn't even want to go back, lol!

My gosh, YoumaCon was back Halloween weekend and I'm just NOW getting around to writing up the report!? Yah, pretty much. I've been super busy with work, freelancing, and medical stuff, so I haven't really felt up to doing much of anything. Fortunately, for Zos Kias, that's sorta habitual anymore, so I do it without thinking, lol. But I'm feeling a bit better, and have a bit of freetime at work before my boss gets in, so I figured I might as well start on this!
Without further ado, here's my con report!

Well, that's the report! Onto the rating~! Like always, I had a blast at YoumaCon! The main issue I had was with the venue. Once I learned the layout, it wasn't TOO bad, but it was still quite a hike sometimes to get from AA to a panel to the next panel, or to the dealer's room, etc. The elevator situation, despite how many elevators there were, was way worse than any convention I can think of @_@ (at least that I've been to in a while). And with my AA stuff, plus 32 floors up, no way I could have taken stairs...assuming I could have found them ^^; And of course, there were the issues getting panelist badges, though all the badges were still gotten before the con officially started Friday morning. All and all though, those issues aren't generally the cons fault, and it was a nice venue, despite that.
I give YoumaCon a 7/10! Keep it up~

Weeeelll, it's like how many months later? But I finally decided to get around and actually type up my Afest report, lol. Mainly because I have some time to kill at work and am trying to keep my mind off the impending doom that is tonight...got soo much to do, but work really late and got tons of errands that will keep me away from my to-do list even longer, ugh. At least Komiko's coming over tonight to help a bit. Here's hoping I get it all done! (and that maybe Urd-chan got some of it done for me while I was at work, lol).

Weelll...though there are things, many things, about this con that make it hard to do, I've loved it, every single year we go, lol. So yeah, it's officially been adding to our con list. There were some minor issues with the hotel, but I had no overall issues with the con, and the head of AA was super helpful and friendly, as were the other staff members I ran into. They definitely need to do a better sound check at the concerts, lol.
Overall, I give this con a 6/10 wee! See ya there next year!

| Matsuri Con 2010 Con Report |

Wow, already on the third out of the three that I really wanted to get done XD Shows you how slow it is at work today, lol, which is great considering how hectic it was yesterday @_@ I'm just burning DVDs for a client, and the boss is out, so this is how I'm killing time while I wait for them to finish, lol.
So, the last of our 4 cons in 5 weekends was MatsuriCon, one of the two repeat cons in that set, lol. We just got back from it, like, Sunday night, so this one is freshest in my mind. On to the report!

Well, thanks to everyone's support, I made my primary and secondary goals for AA sales, lol, which means I was able to cover my expenses and afford a little food, hee hee. I also appreciate ya'll stopping to talk with me, despite how hoarse I was ^^; This con was pretty fun, and had little issues, so I'll give it a 6/10! Planning to be back next year, too.

Wee, trying to get caught up with all these reports! If I can get this one done, that just means one more to go..! Sorry for the random spamming of con reports, haha. I need to go back and see which ones I skipped and get those done, too....I know some of them I started writing as text files, but where those ending up is another story ^^;
Anyways, onto the report!

Well, this con was small, as I expected, but it surprised me, a lot. They had a lot of creative ideas for events/activities which made the con unique. Also, the staff and congoers was super friendly (as were all the other artists in AA), so overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. Also, considering the size of the con, I didn't even expect to break even, but thanks to ya'll, I made 3x what I expected to! Which meant I got to eat, and have some money towards the con the weekend after (Matsuri), haha. I'll give this con a 6/10~! We had a blast, and you'll probably be seeing us back there again next year ^^ Though next year, I wanna go up a day early so I can explore the area and maybe do some photoshoots if I can get others to come ^^

Weellll, I've been super busy with the cons I had back-to-back, but I don't want to get too back-logged on reports, cause otherwise I'll never do them, lol (if you look at the list, there are some missing...maybe one day I'll see if I can remember what I was gonna write, haha), so let's try to do at least one of them XD

Over all, the con was fun, despite some of the major issues. I hope they are looking to resolve the problems with registration, and we can only hope there's no mistakes and no fire alarm next year. Sometimes though, I think this con may be getting TOO big. Well, this year I'll give it a 5/10~! We'll be going back next year, of course ^^
