Yay! I got back from OhayoCon last night ^^ Hee hee. Twas so much fun X3. I'll give ya the lay down, etc...
PreCon-Thursday Night:
Like usual, we weren't ready. But, that's to be expected ^^; We basically jsut did a lot of running around. Until Sakrua decided she wanted a costume for the Full Metal Panel. ^^; Well, I jokingly suggested Wrath (who she hasn't actually seen yet), but she decided Envy. She dug out some random clothing and I cut it up to make it look like his costume. I know him like the back of my hand with all the fanart I've done XD. Nick and Matt got to my house when I was gettting ready for bed O.o My dad wasn't thrilled...
PreCon-Friday:
Wee. Instead of packing for school like I usually do, I packed for the con. Of course, I still had to get up at 5:30 ;_; I hate getting up that early. Instead of doing my usual under the bed (I ripped my pants last time ;_; ), Urd-chan took me out XD. We went to Walmart to buy food stuffs and try to get prints, but they wouldn't be done til 11. So, in the end, we jsut bought food there and went over to Walgreens. There, we actually managed to get them to print. Of course, there were lots of problems so it took us like an hour O.o We also picked up frames for the 2 8 x 10 pics...Himeko and I both entered one into the art show. I did my Mikagami pic (from Flame of Recca...it twas my bday present to him..we share the same bday X3), and hime did her kitty girl with the kitty staff. We left like two hours after we had planend, but part of it was getting the sleeves on my costume O.o I actually sewed and CUT part of it in the car. That's right..Kojika cut XD Lmao! We made it there in less than 6 hours me thinks...
Friday:
Costumes: Dorothy from MAR, Winry from Full Metal Alchemist
Karaoke: Futatsu no Negai with Sakura (early), Nemurenai wa Yoru with Urd-chan (late), Otome no Inori with Sakura (late)

Okay, we got there at about 4 something O.o So, I only had a couple hours to do Dorothy. I promised Sakura I would only do Winry for the panel unless I got to do Dorothy for a long period of time. I obviously didn't, so I switched back. When we first got there, Sakura and I got in line so she could get her badge (I got a free one ^^). Urd-chan had gone to get mine and the rest, but it turns out Sakura got one free, too. No wait this way. Then we hurried into the bathroom so I could put my Dorothy wig and such on and help Sakrua with her Envy costume. I actually jelled her hair out like his XD Twas so amusering x3 We kinda jsut wandered around until an hour before the panel. Then we headed upstairs so I could change, and Nick came with to change into Ed. Somewhere before that we realized the batteries in our camera were dead ;_; So, no pictures of my own that day. I'm going to borrow some of Nikolai's though ^^ The FMA panel was fun, thought it was hard to get anything in with the vocie actors and one of the translators there ^^; We had Vic M (Ed), Chris Sabat (Armstrong), Monica Real (Lyra), some other guy (maybe CHris something...?), and the translator. I said a little, and Nick said one thing. Sakura couldn't get ANYTHING in. XD Not that she really had anything to say of course ^^; I was really surpirsed at how pro fansub Funaimation was in comaprison to everything else. Viz sees it as a necesarry evil and ADV hates it. I went back to Dorothy after the panel. Of course, no one outside the people I hung around with knew who I was. I'm jsut waiting until that happens ^^ I stayed up late in the latenight karaoke room with Sakura and Nikolai. Got to bed after 3 O.o Not much else happened me thinks...
Saturday:
Costumes: Kagome from InuYasha, Mimiru from .hack//sign, Ed from Full Metal Alchemist

Masquerade: A Play Date with Envy (with Sakura)
Well, I got up early on Saturday and hurriedly threw on my Kagome costume. Then, I ate some food Urd-chan bought and hurried on down for the panel. We actualyl got into the panel room a lil eraly, but there were already quite a few peopel in there XD We had to let the staff peoples put all the mics up. Of course, the same time the InuYasha panel started was the same tiem we were suppsoed to be getting signed in for Masq. Urd-chan talked to Melissa who in turn talekd to the staffer in charge of Masq. Scott McNeil showed up bout halfway through the panel, but unlike the norm, we didn't get all that many questons directed at him XD. After the panel, Sakrua and I ran down to masq sign in in our Inu costumes (I forgot my bow and Scott McNeil grabebd it for meh XD ). When we got there, they told us to change and come back. So, I switched into Nick's Ed costume making it my first crossplay ever. We got back there and they told us we could go. SO, I jsut changed into mimiru. XD I actually used the top and boots for the Ed costume anyways. I played with the costume til like an hour and half before masq. then I changed into Ed, but I left my paint on. because of this, I went and threw my Winry top on. So, I had Mimiru, Winry, Ed's under shirt, and his red jacket on. XD Hee hee. I had the mimiru tights and boots under my pajama pants XD> it was kinda a long wait, but it was interesing. We talked to Nikolai (until he got kicked out) and Dragon-sama. There was an even logner wait once we got line dup, but that's to be expected. (it might have not been as long but I'm reallty low on sleep right now). We had to sit in an alcove, but the Naruto group behind us, and the first skit group, kept us entertained. ^^ Dustin, Zach, and Jim won Best in SHow with their Naruto skit XD It was soo funny and they had great costumes ^^. After masq, I stole Urd-chan's cam temproraliy and then went to get mine and change back into Mimiru. I went to eat at AC's room in anotehr hotel and I got really sick feeling. my rib was killing me. I went back to the room with Urd-chan and went to sleep a little after 2:3- I would think.
Sunday:
Costumes: Dorothy from MAR, Rosette from Chrno Crusade

Okay, I started out in Dorothy cause Urd-chan told me there was soemone who missed that costume and wanted a picture. They got the picture as soon as I had finished taking things down to the car, but I didn;t change out of it until later. I went into the dealer's room and bout vol 8 of MAR. I know i ordered it from Asahiya, but I couldn't resist. Dorothy was jsut too damn adorable on the front ^^. Then I left to go find Urd-chan and get the keys. I ran alll over the con and finally found her. She didn't have them. I had Sakrua run down and ask Himeko. Himeko didn't have them. It turned otu Sakura had them the entire time >< I nearly strangled her. I went down into the parking garage and changed (yes out there). When I got to putting my thigh highs on..I took off my right sock and started to put it on when I looked down at my scok and saw it covered in blood O.O So, I limped up to the third floor and got bandaids from Urd-chan. THEN I put it on. My little toe nail is still all bloody >.> Oh well. Then I went back to the dealer's room and bought a Naruto pencil case. ^^ I needed one of those. I wandered into the art auction, and neither Himeko nor my thing sold. ;_; I managed to sell Himeko's to AC though. The panel was uh..interesting. We had like 7 people show up and we know three of them O.o Okay, there was more like 9. Then, Satella's voice actress and the producer showed up. I was expecting greg ayres, but he never showed. Oh well. We couldn't really talk about much cause the girls in the front row wouldn't let us give spoilers and one of them had only seen up to 3 >.> After the panle, I filled in a girl who wanted to comment on the manga and we had a shrot discussion. Then we went home ^^. I got a milkshake on the way home ^^ hee hee. When I got home I unpakced and went to bed. Exciting, ne?
Today I watched Sukisho! episode 1 raw. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI~! And Nikolai jsut sent me the ending song (cause the first only has op as ending). They only dropped one voice actor from the drama: Yamaguchi Kappei. He actually shared a role with Souichiro Houshi who now does both Sunao and Ran (Kappei did Ran...Sunao's alter ego if ya will). I knew the voice actors going in, but I was still a little surprised ^^; Heh. It follows the story of the first game "First Limit".
Oh! MAR's gonna be animatd! In April! I can't wait X3 |
